Braces and Clear Aligners for Feltham Patients

Braces and Clear Aligners for Feltham Patients

Crooked or crowded teeth are harder to clean, wear unevenly, and for many people are the thing they notice first in a photograph. Orthodontic treatment moves them into a position that is easier to look after and easier to live with. It works at almost any age – the biology of tooth movement does not stop at eighteen.

DentEuropa is a private and NHS dental practice on Bath Road in Hounslow, about two and a half miles from Feltham. Our clinical team includes an orthodontist on the GDC Specialist List. Patients come to us from Feltham, Hanworth, Bedfont and Ashford for braces and clear aligners.

Orthodontic treatments we provide

Metal braces

Fixed braces remain the most predictable way to move teeth, and they can correct problems that removable aligners cannot. Both jaws, all visits and both retainers are included in our quoted price.

White ceramic braces

The same fixed-brace mechanics, but with tooth-coloured brackets that are far less noticeable in conversation and photographs. The usual choice for adults who need fixed treatment but work face to face.

Clear aligners

A series of removable transparent trays, changed every week or two, that move the teeth gradually. They come out for eating and cleaning. They only work while they are in the mouth – around 22 hours a day – so they suit people who will genuinely wear them.

Invisalign

The best known clear-aligner system, with its own digital planning and a wide treatment range. See our clear aligners and Invisalign page.

Children's and teenage orthodontics

Some problems – crossbites, severe crowding, a jaw growing out of proportion – are far easier to correct while the jaw is still developing. An assessment around age seven does not mean treatment starts then; it means the right moment is not missed. See children's dentistry.

Retainers

Teeth drift back for the rest of your life if nothing holds them. Retainers are not an optional extra at the end of treatment, they are part of it, and both jaws are included in our price.

How much does orthodontic treatment cost?

Consultation and X-ray: £100. If you go ahead with treatment, the consultation and X-ray fee is deducted from the cost of your treatment – so your consultation is effectively free.

TreatmentFrom
Metal braces, both jaws – all visits and both retainers£2,000
White ceramic braces, both jaws – all visits and both retainers£3,000
Clear aligners, both jaws£1,500
Invisalign, both jaws£2,500
Mouthguard / nightguard£200
Hygiene appointment£65

These are full-course prices covering both jaws, every adjustment visit and both retainers – not a monthly figure or a per-arch figure. Your exact cost is confirmed in writing after your assessment. See the full price list. Treatment can be spread over up to 60 months at 0% interest, which for most patients means paying monthly rather than up front.

What treatment involves

1. Assessment and records

Examination, X-rays, photographs and impressions or a digital scan. From these we can show you what is achievable, what is not, and roughly how long it will take. You leave with a written plan and a cost.

2. Preparing the mouth

Teeth are not moved through active decay or untreated gum disease. Anything that needs treating first is treated first – this is not an upsell, it is a condition of the result lasting.

3. Active treatment

Braces are fitted, or your first aligners are issued. Visits are usually every six to eight weeks for braces, less often for aligners. Simple cases finish in six to nine months; complex ones take eighteen to twenty-four.

4. Retention

Retainers are fitted as soon as the braces come off. Wearing them as instructed is the single thing that decides whether the result holds.

Common questions

Am I too old for braces?

No. Teeth move at any age provided the gums and bone are healthy. A good proportion of our orthodontic patients are adults, many of them treating something that has bothered them for decades.

Braces or clear aligners – which is better?

It depends on the movements your teeth need, not on preference alone. Aligners handle many cases well but not all; fixed braces can do things aligners cannot. We will tell you when aligners are not the right tool for your case rather than sell you the more popular option.

How long will treatment take?

Six to nine months for simple crowding, eighteen to twenty-four months for complex cases. Your assessment gives you a realistic range for your own teeth.

Do braces hurt?

Fitting does not. Teeth feel tender for a few days after fitting and after each adjustment, which ordinary painkillers handle.

Will my teeth move back afterwards?

They will if you stop wearing retainers. This is the most common reason people end up needing treatment twice.
